Martin Olsson: Blackburn Rovers boss braced for left-back's exit
Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer wants to keep Martin Olsson at Ewood Park but has conceded he may lose the Sweden international to a Premier League club.
Olsson, who has not officially asked for a transfer, is not with the Rovers squad currently training in Portugal.
"He might have ambitions to play in the Premier League, and I do understand there's a World Cup coming up as well," Bowyer told BBC Radio Lancashire.
"Martin is still valued by ourselves. He's a quality player and a full international.
"I had a good conversation with him on Friday. I said it would be up to him in terms of what he wanted to do, and if things don't work out for him where he wants to possibly go to, he'd be welcomed back into the squad."
Olsson has been with Blackburn since January 2006 and has made 143 appearances for the club.
