@26 - Get a grip! Using rangers as an excuse was simply an attempt to divert blame. Both clubs were poorly managed...end of.

Football is in a mess. You have to feel sorry for the fans when people who have no idea how to run a football club takeover.
The club is going too lose players for free transfers if administration is declared, there is no player assets. Defunct too many scottish clubs have and are heading into administration.
these 4 players will be lucky to raise £20K each because every other club know about the financial problems and they know they can pick them up really cheap and surely the Danny Wilson signing should be declared Null and Void
Murray told ..: "Given Thursday's statement and the club accounts, it's quite clear there is an ongoing annual funding gap at the club that is quite substantial. -----What are all these claims about Hearts being self-sustaining for 18 months?I'll tell yeez what they are: BULLSHINE!!!
No there's not.Just people trying to drum up sales for Hearts.Just wish they'd show us more respect and keep it believable.Just whom, in the EPL is really gonnae be interested in they four donkeys?
I feel for the Hearts fans in this because they have to date backed their club in every possible way even to the extent of stumping up monies to the club in a so-called shares issue which they will never get back. They are insolvent and should take the only real option open to them - move to administration instead of going through this pretence to convince everyone it's business as usual.
All four will end up in championship next season, whether playing week in week out I'm not sure but they are still young. Blackburn, Leeds and Bournemouth are a few of the clubs who've made enquiries.
Selling the players may keep Hearts alive for the moment BUT if season ticket money has already gone (7,000 SALES SO FAR) Where will the money come from to pay for next season, as with no signings allowed they will likely keep losing and fans will stop attending so no gate money to speak of. HMRC will then liquidate (if Lithuanians don't do it first) They will then do a Rangers, why not do it now?
Patterson will be snatched up by an EPL club and with more experience will shine in the EPL, Holt might make the Championship, but the rest, I can only see going to other clubs in Scotland, if that...
Since the players' contracts have been breached by the non-payment of wages, why wouldn't they walk away for nowt?
I feel sorry for ordinary Hearts fans. Not their mess, but they'll be the ones left to keep on turning up (and will) regardless - simply because they love their club. Just like Rangers fans. Wasn't their doing either. But on some forums, you'd think it was a fan based conspiracy to conjure up EBTs - and that it was their fault. Until RFC, how many ordinary folk actually knew what an EBT was?
