Rooney has more sense than I thought. He may as well go to a club with ambition and on the rise. Rather than stay at some tired eeked out shirt seller with a football pitch attached.
READ THE ARTICLE NOT THE HEADLINE!In all of these articles there have been no QUOTES from Utd on the status of Rooney. In fact the club has only acknowledge the story in responding to direct questions about Rooney leaving. ALL OF WHICH WERE ANSWERED BY SAF CONFIRMING HE IS NOT LEAVING & WILL BE AT UNITED NEXT SEASON.This is different to when he publically came out and said he wanted to go.
This was a poor move by Rooney in view of Fergie retiring this week . RVP has shown the killer instinct in front of goal that Rooney lacks. For all the talent, unlike Ronaldo before him, he simply does not deliver on a regular basis. If he wants out - let him leave and use the cash to strengthen the team further. Bring Ronaldo back!!! Viva Ferguson!
Any quotes? I mean, other than "he's staying" or "Everton are playing well". You know, something to actually base an article on? I expect this kind of speculative fluff from the Daily Mail, but not the BBC. I haven't seen a direct quote from Rooney or anyone connected to the club stating that he has handed in a transfer request. Until I do, I'll remain sceptical.
Please lets tell the truth. This man has been caught out in his personal life and shown to be of low character. Good riddance to bad rubbish. over hyped and overpaid. When families are relying on food banks for food his attitude is disgusting and typical of an uneducated greedy man out to score what he can be whatever means necessary.
Let the fay Roo go. Where will he go i dont know but one thing is for certain i dont want him at Chelsea. No ******* Chance. I hate him and everything about him.
At a time when MUFC supporters should be celebrating AFs achievements Rooney comes out with this (again)This "gentleman is either badly advised by his agents or just plain dumb or quite possible both.A DISGRACE :-(
Let fatty go,don't be held to ransom again.
If this is true he must go. He would have made a decent midfielder but he can step down to a club that has no security if he must.
it's the 2nd time in 3 years that Wayne Rooney has asked for more money.*sorry, asked for a move away from Old Trafford
bigger blow than red nose
Wayne Rooney has no respect for UTD, but majority of fans keep supporting him. He holds the club to randsom time after time. If he wants to go abroad then let him, but i think he will soon realise that none of the top clubs in Spain, Germany or Italy would want him. Be interesting to see where this on goes.
I think this is another stunt from Rooney, trying to get a higher wage at United, if not He'll go abroad (which i think will ruin his career) and be payed 350k a week
@308: We used to. But we don't any more. When was the last time you actually saw insightful journalism from the BBC Football page outside of maybe Tim Vickery? It's all sensationalist stuff from what could be best described as hacks designed to get internet reaction and stir the pot some more. It's got to the stage that it's needless to expect a higher standard from the bsBC as this is the zenith
ok ok ok, you can have moyes, just give us our son back.
