Livingston: Nine players released at season's end

Former Livingston midfielder Liam Fox

Livingston have released nine players after the end of the Scottish Football League season.

Midfielder Liam Fox, goalkeeper Andrew McNeil and defender Kevin McCann are among the most high-profile casualties.

Defenders Craig Barr and Jesus Garcia Tena, midfielder Tony Andreu and strikers Iain Russell, Jordan Morton, and Andrew Russell have also been released by the Division One club.

On-loan defender Callum Booth has returned to parent club Hibernian.

Fox has been at the club since 2006, while former Hibs goalkeeper McNeil signed form Raith Rovers in 2011 and McCann, also formerly of Hibs, joined in 2012.

"The club would like to put on record its thanks to all the departing players for their hard work and commitment during their time at Livingston," said a statement on the club's official website.

"The club continue in negotiations with a number of other players and remain hopeful of retaining these players for the challenges ahead."
