Leyton Orient 1-1 Oldham

Oldham looked to the future as 16-year-old Jack Truelove was given a taste of league action as they finished the season with a draw at Leyton Orient.

Jimmy Smith put Orient ahead early on with a first-time lob over the advancing Dean Bouzanis from 15 yards.

But the second half was only 50 seconds old when Oldham equalised as Kirk Millar pounced on Cristian Montano's cross after the O's failed to clear.

Dean Cox could have won it but hit the post before Truelove was introduced.

Slade - We have surpassed expectations

Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade told BBC London 94.9:

"It's been a marathon, we played well today, and I'm disappointed we didn't win but to finish seventh, the best we could, so we have to be satisfied with that.

"Oldham came and pressed us and made it really difficult for us at times, but we signed off well and we didn't want to lose today on the last day.

"There is a great deal of respect and unity between the fans and the players and we hope we can strengthen in the summer."
