AFC Telford 0-4 Hereford

Hereford ended the season on a high as they thumped relegated Telford.

The home side went close through Marco Adaggio before Hereford went ahead when Sam Clucas tapped home after James Bittner failed to hold his header.

Clucas doubled the advantage immediately after the restart with a neat finish inside the box.

Marlon Jackson hit a fine third from the edge of the area before Josh O'Keefe added further gloss with a close-range finish.

Relegated from the Football League a year ago, Hereford's victory ensured that they finished sixth in the Blue Square Bet Premier - 10 points adrift of the play-offs.

When they were last relegated from the Football League in 1997, by a quirky coincidence, the Bulls also then went on to finish sixth in the Conference the following season too.

Interim Telford manager John Psaras told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"The first half was superb. We bossed the game and then it was the story of our season.

"We could see the energy coming out of the boys when we conceded. We had bits of play in the second half, but I've been squeezing the energy out of the players and that's the result.

"Our young lads have done so well and worked so hard to cover the injuries this season, but our injury list has got bigger and bigger, and the energy has gone from our players.

"I don't think many of our players will be here next season. There are players who think they are better than this - but we have been relegated and they aren't."
