Dumbarton 1-2 Raith Rovers
Dumbarton's hopes of avoiding relegation suffered a blow as they went down at home to Raith Rovers.
The visitors took the lead after 14 minutes when Greig Spence nodded in after a good knock-down from Brian Graham.
Grant Murray came close to doubling the advantage shortly afterwards but failed to guide his header the right side of the post.
Rovers continued to press and Stephen Grindlay did well to keep out Grant Anderson's effort with a smart save.
Anderson and Joe Cardle were next to test Grindlay before the Sons levelled in the 70th minute.
Mark Gilhaney produced a neat finish from the edge of the area following some good work by James Lister.
However, they went behind for the second time five minutes later when Graham produced a neat finish inside the box.
Despite a third straight defeat, Dumbarton move up a place after Dunfermline Athletic were docked 15 points for going into administration.
Ian Murray's side are only three points above third bottom Cowdenbeath - and a further three clear of the Pars - after the Fifers' draw with Livingston.
