Barrow 1-0 Macclesfield

Alex-Ray Harvey breathed life into Barrow's fight against relegation as Macclesfield Town's play-off hopes were dealt a blow.

Harvey hit a fine 59th minute winner after good work by former Kilmarnock player Gavin Skelton, who was celebrating his 32nd birthday.

Macclesfield needed a win but Waide Fairhurst blazed over from eight-yards.

They are seven points off the play-offs with eight games left, while Barrow move to within two points of safety.

Versatile defender Enes Fermino, who joined Macclesfield on the eve of the fixture from Swiss club FC Sion, was an unused substitute.
