18. George Lewis"Im a Spurs fan, and ill tell you right now, I'd rather Arsenal get the other CL position (along with us, of course) than Chelsea, all day long"I think the feeling's probably mutual among most Arsenal fans.
Random thought...Three games between these clubs this season has produced 24 goals... that has to be some sort of record hasn't it...?Get on it Opta...
will be interestin to see who arsenal get in the summer
@125 - Couldn't agree more. There used to be a time when football support meant more than just trophies. I am fortunate to be a Saints fan and whilst fans of the 'bigger' clubs look down on us I truly think that lean times give you character as a football fan. Trophies earn bragging rights but week in week out dedication meas so much more. It makes the good times feel unbelievable!
Having looked at the penalty claim again, I can see that Giroud did get his foot to it first. Must have been put off by AS's comment "I know he got to the ball first but even so it's a cert pen."So, it's still Shearer talking nonsense as the keeper didn't get to the ball first. Still, it was worth getting it wrong just to read yous guys hilarious p-taking comments. All is forgiven. :D
A number of Arsenal fans (& haters) are on here stating that at the end of their careers players want to be at home counting their trophies and not recalling their Champions League appearance's with nostalgia.Unless these guys are ex players how would they know ?I would imagine that many players enjoy these nights hugely, and that is why they want to only play for teams involved in the C/League.
Winning trophies isn't the only way to be successful. Living within the means of the financial status of the club is another avenue to look at. Yes, no trophies in 8 years can be difficult to digest after the initial starts made in AW early years, but it doesn't detract from what the club do, and how they still manage to compete to be up amongst the big spending CFC and MCFC.
Correction:FEARED the worst! They are looking swish now under AVB and are currently ahead of my team Arsenal, but I am hoping they finish below us once again.Good times ahead looking at the run in for both sides :)
I fear the worst for Spurs after the departure of old Twitchy Redknapp, but Villas Boas so far has been just the ticket! And fair play to the lad too after being reduced to tears by his treatment at Chelsea I would love to see his Tottenham team steal that CL place from Chelsea who have now reaped what as sown, with Benitez as manager!! LOL
@18 Likewise spurs fan, from an Arsenal fan.
120,yep agree.Same could be said of us though once the stadium's built & if we get CL places for 5 yrs say & buy better players.I think AFC are a well run club & punch above their weight.CFC ruined football. No teams other than them,MC and MU will win the league in the next 10 years if the fair play rules dont kick in.3/4th is the best AFC & we can hope for.BTW i dont think MCFC are an elite team.
