Massive well done to the Newcastle lads as well, Newton and Dummett and Isma Goncalves. Whatever thier career brings now, they will always be legends in Paisley. Newton's goal was an absolute peach.

@78 other fans tar ALL celtic and rangers fans with the same brush which isnt right. there are a few idiots who hold onto these stupid beliefs, but its not a big percentage. and listen out to hertz and st mirren fans when the play celtic, they are just as bad. my point was why did someone have to bring this into a positive story about scottish fitbaw?
Well done St Mirren, fantastic final.Just a pity that the winners of the Scottish League Cup don't get to play in Europe.
Bearing in mind their horrendous injury list, well done Hearts for making a cracking game of it.I sat in the row behind the Hearts squad - it was like a scene from A&E!Zaliukas, Grainger, Mullen, Robinson and Paterson all sitting with leg braces on!
As a Cardiff fan I tuned into watch this, fantastic atmosphere and real end to end game - a terrific advert for football with both sides going for it.I have a soft spot for Hearts having worked in Edinburgh but was pleased to see ex Bluebird Steven Thompson score a real "Roy of the Rovers" goal. The bloke is still a legend down here!Good luck to St Mirren in Europe next year
Congratulations to StM on a great win and nice to see silverware and recognition go to a club that try and play attractive football with the ball on the deck.Cracking game to watch, just like Motherwell vs Hibs on Friday night.
