Falkirk 2-0 Livingston

Lyle Taylor bagged a brace as Falkirk edged past Livingston.

The first chance of the match did not arrive until the 25th minute as Taylor was thwarted by a fine save from Andrew McNeil.

David Weatherston went closer still with a volley moments later but again McNeil was equal to it.

Pressure began to mount as The Lions stopper was forced to push Thomas Grant's effort round the post just before the half-hour mark.

However, Taylor was not to be denied when he rose highest to nod home Grant's cross after 37 minutes.

The former Millwall striker doubled the advantage just after the hour mark, Grant the provider again as Taylor nodded the ball past McNeil for the second time in the game.

He could have completed the hat-trick in the closing stages but for another fine save from McNeil.
