Livingston held off a superb late comeback from Dumbarton to emerge as victors.
The visitors had lost just two in their last 10 games and it looked set to be a rout when they went two goals up before the hour mark.
Goals from ex-Dumbarton forward Iain Russell and Stefan Scougall either side of the break gave them that lead.
Dumbarton's Mark Gilhaney managed to half the deficit but Livingston ensured their supremacy through Russell's second of the afternoon nine minutes from time.
Jordan Morton's strike seemed to make everything comfortable for the West Lothian men but the hosts had other ideas.
Dumbarton decided to stage a stoppage time fightback.
Alan Lithgow and Bryan Prunty struck within two minutes of each other to make Livingston nerves jangle.
However Ian Murray's side could not find the equaliser despite the promising late flurry.
