Kidderminster Harriers have signed former Stourbridge Town defender Sam Smith on non-contract terms.
The 24-year-old, who parted company with the Glassboys earlier this month, goes straight into the Harriers squad for the Boxing Day derby at Hereford.
Smith was part of the Stourbridge side that reached the FA Cup second round in 2011, having made the first round the previous season.
"He'll be a good addition to us," said Harriers manager Steve Burr.
His arrival is timely as defender Josh Gowling picked up a thigh injury in last weekend's 5-1 home win over Dartford and is said to be doubtful for the game against his former club at Edgar Street.
