Another amazing performance from the midfield maestro that is Lucas this evening. Oh yes, definitely the best holding midfielder in the Premiership. Or maybe all that turkey has gone to my head? Oh wait, that's right, he's bunk!
79, been reading The Sun again have we lad? Donkey.
Luiz is so useless that Barca were willing to bid £30 million for him.
76. Who are you? The playground prefect or something? lol :).
Andy Jones do u also go by the username Bob?European champions we know who we are!
@75 And calling people delusional muppets isn't something from the playgound ?? Seriously, grow up !
63. Not "so-called". Actually are European Champions you delusional muppet.71. "Not in a top team as CB". Chelsea are a top team you delusional muppet. Or are the European Champions the equivalent of the Carling Cup holders now.Jeez, who opened the playground gates today?!!!
Ignore comments by 63 and 71, these are the views of armchair supporters who have probably never attended a football match in their lives.I hear a lot of people critisising Liz and saying he hasn't proved himself until he plays that role against top opposition, well if that's the case u shouldn't be shooting him down until he has had that chance to prove himself.
@63 BobLuiz probably wouldn't get into the midfields of Germany or Italy - but they both have lots of top quality players in that area.He may not be the answer for Brazil in that role but I expect he will get a lot of oppportunities for Chelsea there so as the author of the article mentions it might be worth Scolari experimenting.
Really check fellows. That position the author is suggesting for DL, is the playground of Messi and co. These Messi type creative engine rooms shld be denied space and time by a disciplined midfielder. With DL galavanting upfield, Messi will have time to install starting blocks on the pitch and go at Thiago and co at full steam. The rest, as they say, will be history.
David Luiz could not possibly be poorer as a holding midfield player, than masquerading as a centre back. He has not got a clue positionally, is prone to risk taking, which ultimately costs his teams. He would not get in a top team as a centre back, but has the engine to operate usefully in a holding role. Brazil have a few better than David Luiz in that role. Five year new contract, not for me.
