'No doom and gloom at Sunderland'

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill says the atmosphere around the club is "far from doom and gloom" as they prepare to face Reading in the Premier League on Tuesday.

This fixture marks the anniversary of the Ulsterman's first match as Sunderland manager, and after a poor start this season the Black Cats remain in the relegation zone.

O'Neill believes there is "enough talent at the football club" to avoid relegation, and says the players are "really upbeat" about turning their season around against Reading.
