Royals gave Everton 'too much respect'

Reading manager Brian McDermott says his side deserve credit for their second-half comeback which saw them beat Everton 2-1 at the Madejski Stadium.

McDermott praises his side's "spirit and resilience" after they upped their tempo in the second half, having given their visitors "too much respect" in an opening period dominated by Everton.

Adam Le Fondre scored both the Royals' goals and his manager says he is very pleased for him and that a victory like this has been "coming for a long time".
