Forest Green 4-1 Stockport

Yan Klukowski

Yan Klukowski scored one goal and laid on two more as Forest Green Rovers eased to victory over Stockport County.

Rovers led after five minutes when Klukowski slotted in from 12 yards.

The second goal came when Craig Hobson headed Klukowski's cross into his own net and James Norwood's shot made it 3-0 after more good work from Klukowski.

Sean Newton's 76th-minute penalty gave the visitors hope after Klukowski felled Tom Collins but Reece Styche's late shot sealed the win.

Hockaday enjoys Forest Green energy

Forest Green Rovers manager Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"All we can do is look after ourselves and that's a very good three points against a team who are dangerous, big, strong and good at set plays.

"We deserved to win the game today. I would have liked to have got a fourth goal before they scored anything.

"The whole team today showed great energy. We're young, strong and if we nail the basics and keep on passing, then we're a match for most teams."
