Truro City: Depleted side lose 4-1 at Farnborough

Truro City boss Lee Hodges says he needs more players after his depleted side lost 4-1 at Farnborough.

City were 2-0 down at half-time after goals by Dave Tarpey and Reece Connolly before Marcus Martin pulled one back with 18 minutes left in the match.

But Dean Inman and Scott Day scored in the final 10 minutes to seal the win.

"We need some bodies. They're working hard out there, but you could see their legs were a bit tired," 39-year-old substitute Hodges said.

City, who were uncertain of fielding a starting 11 before the game, named two substitutes - Hodges, who is carrying an injury, and youngster Todd Hanrahan, who made his debut for the Blue Square Bet South side.

The club are after financial problems as

"It was such a short-term fix to get anybody in really," Hodges said of Ivybridge Town defender Hanrahan.

"I know Todd from my college days, he's a good lad and he should be pleased that he's come in and done well.

"He'll go back and play for his team on Friday, but he could be back in the side on Saturday."

But City will have to wait at least a month before striker Stewart Yetton returns to the side.

He will undergo exploratory surgery in Wednesday to see the extent of the knee injury he has been suffering from.
