John Pemberton returns to Nottingham Forest coaching set-up
Nottingham Forest have confirmed that former Sheffield United academy director John Pemberton has re-joined the coaching staff at the City Ground.
The 47-year-old, who was part of Forest's set-up for more than 12 years before leaving in 2009, has returned as performance development coach.
Pemberton had been strongly linked with a return to Forest after reportedly becoming unsettled at the Blades.
"I've got great affection for Forest," Pemberton told the club's website.
Pemberton held various roles at the City Ground, working with the academy, as reserve-team boss and also a brief stint as caretaker manager in the 2008/2009 season.
He left Forest in the summer of 2009.
"It's a club I know really well," Pemberton added.
"It's about trying to bridge the gap between Sean O'Driscoll [manager] and his staff at first-team level and Nick Marshall and Gary Brazil at academy level."
