Dumbarton 0-2 Falkirk

Lyle Taylor's sixth goal of the season set Falkirk on the way to a win over lowly Dumbarton.

The Bairns piled more misery on the bottom club - yet to win a league game this season - thanks to an excellent finish by Taylor, who produced an exquisite lob from the edge of the area early on.

Falkirk's lead was doubled just after the half-hour when David Weatherston's powerful drive found the bottom left corner from 18 yards.

Dumbarton almost pulled a goal back 12 minutes from time, but Chris Turner's curling free-kick cannoned back off the bar.

They went close again after 85 minutes, when James Lister's sumptuous volley also rattled the woodwork, but they could not find a way through.
