Blackburn 1-0 Watford
Jordan Rhodes' injury-time winner against Watford gave Blackburn Rovers caretaker manager Eric Black a second straight win.
Rhodes rifled home left-footed on the turn from 12 yards.
The Scottish striker's late strike was a particular relief to his team-mate Colin Kazim-Richards, who missed a penalty 14 minutes from time.
Kazim-Richards slipped as he hit his kick against the bar, having denied Rhodes the chance to take it himself.
The Turkey international grabbed the ball confidently from Rhodes, who had earned the late penalty when his shot struck Watford's Tommie Hoban on the arm.
Despite that setback, the two players then combined as Rovers sealed a dramatic win in the second minute of stoppage time.
Kazim-Richards teed up Ruben Rochina and the Spanish playmaker's shot was deflected into the path of Rhodes, who fired home.
It was no less than the home side deserved after they dominated possession against a defensive Hornets side.
Bradley Orr, Jason Lowe, Kazim-Richards and Rhodes all had chances to score before the visitors' resolve was finally broken.
Following five games without a win, Rovers now have two in a row under Black and remain fifth in the Championship.
Defeat sees Watford slip to 16th - four points above the relegation zone.
