It's time the Yank sold out to the Russian. Usmanov has 5 times more money than Kroenke and might actually spend some of it.
@131 What are you talking about? Don't get me wrong, I slated Jenkinson last season, but the games he's played this time round he's been pretty solid. When he pushes forward and under pressure, he passes the ball instead of losing it, and is also charging back. It's Santos you should be moaning at. He's NEVER in position! A potato being riden by a hamster would have done a better job at left back
@ 133 - Why don't you peer down the thread and read what I actually wrote. For some strange reason you are hell-bent on saying the oppposite to things you THINK im saying. Read. For the record, I would sign other players, but thats my wish as a SUPPORTER. You have some weird thing against premiership clubs with money, its really very strange.
@ 128 - 'Arsenal's limitations were exposed' - I was discussing the limitations and therefore the thread! 90% of AFC fans here think better quality of players should have been signed. I agree. Would you swap (eg) Gervinho, Ramsey and Santos for, say, M'Vila or Hummels? At least u have the luxury of being able to dine at the top player table, even if ur manager is too tight to even have a starter!
118 BayernUltra"There's no disgrace in the result"Maybe so but the way Arsenal played was a disgrace. Completely toothless and shucking fit.
... I think Jenkinson should not be thrown into the first team just yet. Arsene should know better. The manager is making other people overwork to make up for others, eventually slips like these happen. I was expecting to see a strong back four that will include Koscielny along with Vermaelene and Mertesacker, even if they have to be played out of position. Not just anyone to make up the eleven...
Too many excuses every year, just there to make up the numbers, no chance of winning anything.
Going back to the beginning of the emiratesstadium rebuilding team process" Arsenal had a young but quality side, but just lacked the winning mentality I always said that that team has to a win a trophy no matter what trophy big or small to gain the winning mentality, problem was AW thought he can challenge for every trophy every year with an inexperience side,u need to a win a trophy to have belief
@ 126 - Well its not mutually exclusive, you can have an average player that is technical. We might not have had great results recently, but we do have a technical team, however average you think they are. And no, I wasn't expecting for you to be on the lookout, why would I? Its a forum for debate... debate the thread. You have nothing to prove Mango.
Nice to see Gav_Mango at work. Has anyone else got a job here , or are you a part of "broken britain" ?
@ 125 - It would make sense if Arsenal hadn't spent so much money on the technical but average players that you claimed (today) to make up the vast majority of your team. After yesterday and the result last night, you must have suspected I was going to be on the look out today... And I'm at work. Not fun but good money. It always comes back to money...!
@ 123 - completely pointless to the thread. Not sure why you are bringing up yesterdays debate today, naturally have nothing better to do than to dwell on a comment from another thread. I wasn't mentioning anything to do with money, just simply about how the structure of the team seems like, a technical dutch side, with a few outstanding players, make sense!?
Maybe QPRs first wni of the season coming up this weekend. :)
@ 96 - "Sort of like an tier 1 dutch team" - I'd wager that the money the Dutch spend just to watch the EPL is more than the amount that any "tier 1 dutch team" has spent on it's first team.Slightly galling that after getting £320m just from domestic TV rights since u last won a trophy, that you are no better than clubs who spent say £40m in that time? It's not all about money though, eh...
Fully expected Schalke to win. Arshavin, Gervinho, Giroud not names to put fear into opponents. Arsenal simply weak against strong teams and strong against weak teams.
RVP needs replaced and not by someone that couldnt lace his boots. if your honest arsenal fans you'll agree, the 2 new signing are closer to bentners abilty than RVPs.......
