Danny Rowe's 90th-minute winner helped Barrow come back from two goals down to defeat Braintree.
The Iron went two up early on through Sean Marks' low effort and Dan Holman's drive from the edge of the box.
Louis Almond ignited the Bluebirds' fightback when he fired home from 25 yards, before the Blackpool loanee's fine curling strike levelled matters.
And Rowe completed the dramatic turnaround when he found the top corner from just outside the area.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex:
"I'm absolutely gutted to be fair. We were 2-0 up and we gave away a sloppy goal, the second goal was a mistake and the third goal was a total fluke.
"He's crossed it and it's gone over the top of Danny (Naisbitt).
"We had three or four glaring chances and we didn't put them away, that seems the story of our season so far. We aren't playing that badly, we're creating chances.
"With 20 minutes to go I felt we were alright and it looked like we were going to get a third so a defeat is hard to take."
