Chelsea defender David Luiz has signed a new five-year contract with the European champions to bring speculation over his immediate future to an end.
The 25-year-old Brazilian was linked with a move to Barcelona, among others, over the summer but for now it appears his future lies at Stamford Bridge.
"It is a great club and I look forward to winning more trophies," he said.
"I want to play for a long time at the top level, which is what playing for Chelsea means," Luiz added.
"I love everything about the club and especially the fans, who have made me very welcome and given me great support."
Luiz has started 55 games since joining the club from Benfica in January 2011, in a deal worth £21.3m.
He helped Chelsea secure their first Champions League victory last season, scoring a penalty in the shoot-out win over Bayern Munich.
