Tom Miller's late strike saw Lincoln come from behind to defeat Nuneaton.
James Armson gave Nuneaton a dream start with an early goal, finding the top corner of the net from 12 yards.
Simon Forsdick was then shown a straight red for hauling down Vadaine Oliver and Nicky Nicolau's 20-yard free-kick found the bottom corner.
Miller headed in a corner from six yards to give Lincoln the lead while Jamie Taylor also struck the crossbar with a late penalty for The Imps.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Lincoln boss David Holdsworth told BBC Radio Lincolnshire:
"I'm delighted for the players and the supporters, it was a hard fought victory and we got what we deserved.
"Goals change games and their goal set us back. I didn't enjoy the first half and there were a few harsh words said at half-time, you have to have pride and passion and I didn't sense that. I was critical of a few of them but they responded in the right way.
"We had to go out and earn the right to get back in the game. We showed a bit more willingness to have a go at people and get in their faces. I thought all the subs did well when they went on and that's what you want, impact.
"Sometimes you have to grind out a result and today I felt we did."
