Exeter 1-1 York

John O'Flynn's late equaliser salvaged a point for second-placed Exeter against fellow high-fliers York City

The Grecians striker finished neatly into the bottom right corner from six yards after great work by Matt Oakley.

Exeter had trailed following Michael Coulson's close-range effort into the bottom right corner put the Minstermen in front early in the second half.

York might have won the game in injury time but Artur Krysiak saved superbly from Daniel Parslow's header.

Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale told BBC Radio Devon:

"I'm happy with the point considering how the game panned out.

"It was a very poor pass from Liam (Sercombe). We had a three versus zero situation, it is hard to blame Arron (Davies) for the miss.

"You've seen the best of us away, at home we have to learn to give more impetus to the game, to make things happen.

"I didn't like our first half, it was lacking in purpose."

York City manager Gary Mills told BBC Radio York:

"The dressing room's quiet at the moment and to come away at Exeter and get a point, we're quiet for the reason that we're disappointed.

"I really fancied us once we got our noses in front. They've got the chance and he stuck it away.

"We've come all the way down to Exeter and we've got that disappointment but you know we'll learn from that.

"It's like learning to see a game out, other than that they didn't really hurt us.

"We've come here and given another good account of ourselves and going away with a big, big point."
