Forest Green 3-1 Hyde

Reece Styche

Forest Green Rovers made it three wins in a row and moved up to second in the table with victory over Hyde.

Phil Jevons hit the post early on for the winless Tigers and Rovers led four minutes later when Reece Styche headed James Norwood's cross home.

Jamie Turley blasted home from close range to double the lead, before Ryan Crowther gave Hyde hope from 20 yards.

Norwood hit the post before Ben Wright made the points safe for the hosts with a clinical finish in injury time.

Hockaday content with 'naive' win

Forest Green Rovers manager Dave Hockaday told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:

"After 25 minutes we were rampant and it looked like it was going to be a cricket score.

"We've got momentum at the moment, we know how to win a game. We haven't played well for long stretches there, yet we found a way to win the game.

"We're very young, we've shown our naivety and they made it difficult for us.

"Towards the end we looked the stronger team and we found a way to win the game, so I'm happy with that."
