Matthew Tipton ruled out for Linfield with hip injury
Linfield striker Matthew Tipton has been ruled out of Friday night's Premiership game against Donegal Celtic at Windsor Park with a hip injury.
The forward is expected to be ruled out of action for two weeks.
Blues manager David Jeffrey remains confident in his strikeforce despite his side failing to score in six competitive matches so far this season.
"When I look at the forward talent we have we are well capable of scoring. The goals will come," added Jeffrey.
"We have Matthew Tipton, Mark McAllister, Peter Thompson and Gary Browne, not to mention other players who can score goals - there are plenty of goals in this squad.
"There has been a lot of talk about the fact we haven't scored yet, but I have full and total faith and belief in my players," added Jeffrey.
Stephen Douglas is also unavailable for the champions, while defender David Armstrong is doubtful with a calf injury.
"We were bitterly disappointed with how we played at Ballymena, but we have drawn a line under that one and made a good response against Coleraine on Saturday.
"I thought we were much better than the week before - the effort of the players was very good and there was only one team that wanted to win the game."
Donegal Celtic will be missing midfielder Liam Bradley, who is serving the last game of a three-match suspension.
Coleraine manager Oran Kearney will ring the changes for the trip to Portadown after his side's 1-0 North West Cup win over Limavady United.
Damien McNulty is out injured while Curtis Allen is doubtful with an ankle injury.
Aaron Boyd or Darren Boyce could deputise for the former Linfield forward if he fails to prove his fitness.
Glenavon's Mark Turkington misses his side's home game against Dungannon Swifts through injury.
Swifts have goalkeeper Niall Morgan and defensive duo Ryan O'Neill and Johnny Montgomery available again after serving bans.
