Glentoran start league with a home victory over Donegal Celtic

Glentoran secured a comfortable victory over Donegal Celtic in the Premiership encounter at the Oval on Saturday.

Jay Magee put the Glens ahead with a penalty after Jim O'Hanlon was brought down and Andy Waterworth lobbed Niall Murphy to make it 2-0 on 12 minutes.

DC pulled one back before the break with Mark Miskimmin slotting home after good work from Shane Dolan.

Jim O'Hanlon headed in at the back post from Stephen Carson's cross after 57 minutes as the hosts eased to victory.
