Football Understand - quote "i'm not even a Rangers fan btw" then in an earlier tweet, " ...if WE had lost the tax case. . .Your nose wouldn't be a slight shade of Azur would it?
P.S. Football understand, if you have to be pedantic regarding holding companies, it was actually 'Sevco Scotland Ltd' that are registered as the creators of 'The' Rangers, and it's worth pointing out that according to companies house there's just over 50 Sevcos or Servcos (and almost half have of them have gone bust (disolved)).
Football 'understand' come on surely, even through orange tinted glasses, when floating a company on the stockmarket and becoming a Plc in 1994 (one of the most successful flotations of all time) this cannot be classed in the same league as going bust. . .Just check out campanies house website for the truth, it's out there honest. HH
Gents, appreciating that this is not a celtic v rangers forum, but as there doesn't seem to be one tonight, can i just add in response to sneakymarcus' tweet, earlier, most "clubs" (including oldco) although i don't know about the newco lot, intinsincly link the owning company with the tradename (club) to enable loans to be taken out against that trading name as colateral against the loan, Hh
Worlds most successful club ! HhhmmmmmI bet Milan , Madrid , & Barca didn't have to face you as much as they did !La La land
And if some sheik bought any club including celtic, they can change whatever they want, strip colour, stadium name , mascot, seat colour, crest, just like what has happened with cardiff, you really need to realise what owning a football company and club means. im not even a rangers fan btw , but your facts are totally wrong, i am a charlton athletic fan happened to my club before
PearsonGooner Sevco not servco were the company that bought the right to the club (rangers FC) they changed the running name of the company , COMPANY to the rangers football club ltd,the clue is in what its called 'newco' not newclub, just like celtics holding company has been reformed on 3 occasions. 134 million?that was an estimated debt figure if we had lost a tax case, tell me ur not that thick
Ahh, PearsonGooner, the Celtic fan obsessed with the worlds most sucessfull football club (Rangers) is back. You dont understand whats going on. For the last time THE COMPANY THAT RUNS RANGERS FC AND RANGERS FC ARE COMPLETELY SEPERATE ENTITES.I know you'l probably ignore this comment, because your blinkered beyond belief.
In other words, Servco, known as Rangers are allowed to participate in SFA competition. This entity is owned by persons who were fans of the original Rangers FCIf Sheikh Petrodollar or Newton Heath had arrived at the liquidator with with £134m plus to buy the share and make his home ground at John o' Groats playing in green and white, where would "Rangers" be?
@ 228u snd like a celtic fan absolutely obsessed with our club, rangers paid all the football debts from the old company runnung the club..and have accepted a transfer embargo for the old company, the company rangers fc is to be liquadated due to craig whyte not paying 14 million in VAT,a new company the rangers football club has taken over the old company for the running of the club...get it
@ 225You are so bitter my friend, the company running the club never 'chose' liquidation, craig whyte never paid tax for a year (which noone knew about) the other tax case has not had a verdict so....third div is a punishment you tool we never got let back in the SPL, yet clubs still need us for the SKY deal (funny). points penalty and fine remember?? oh and a transfer embargo..go away please
It's not a sentence, it's not a punishment. Rangers were not relegated. Rangers did NOT go into Administration, or had points deducted.Rangers Football Club exists only as an Estate with all it's debts. A new entrant is allowed to participate, it could well have been a group of Newton Heath in green and yellow who bought the share (franchise) and not Charles Green and his cohorts.
Let's be honest....no one expected this to happen to Scotland's biggest club. Supporters of rival teams might of wanted it to happen , but I don't think many actually really expected it .Rangers directors envisaged a 'slap on the wrists' and were shocked to find such a tough sentence .Murray thought by pushing the problem under the carpet to Whyte , that things would get diluted and forgiven.
This comment was removed because it broke the house rules. Explain
@207It's a shame what the Rangers fans are going through but the fans are not the target, the club is. The club have dodged taxes and you cannot expect the club not to be punished for that. But playing in Div 3 was not actually a punishment, but a consequence of the club choosing liquidation rather than paying it's debts.People need to realise that the club are to blame for it's own fall.
Ashley spent 134 m on Newcastle .Gers went under owing 134 mIs the chubby Londoner , Mr D. Murray in disguise ?GGTTJ
Let's assume PearsonGooner is a BBC moderator then.
@PearsonGoonerAs far as I am aware there's no guilty verdict handed out as of yet. However people like yourself, who probably only read tabloid headlines, are quick to condemn and pass judgement. How about you get up off your high horse and understand that Rangers is more than just a club, it's a way of life.We are Rangers, we always will be, and nothing anyone says will EVER change that.RTID
