AFC Telford have signed young striker James Spray on a free transfer, after his end-of-season release by Wolves.

The 20-year-old trialist has signed a one-year contract after impressing in all the Bucks' pre-season friendlies.

Birmingham-born Spray's Wolves debut came last September, scoring three minutes after coming on as a late sub in a 5-0 League Cup win over Millwall.

Spray is Telford's fifth new signing, following Luke Hubbins, Michael Briscoe, Jake Reid and Kieron St Aimie.

BBC Radio Shropshire has reported that the Bucks are close to securing another signing and may be in a position to make an announcement later on Tuesday.
