Luton 2-2 Gateshead

Jon Shaw

Luton's Jon Shaw scored against his former club as Town came from two goals down to draw against Gateshead.

Former Luton striker Liam Hatch gave the Tynesiders the lead by heading home Josh Gillies's corner before Yemi Odubade's clinical finish made it 2-0.

Luton got one back when Stuart Fleetwood played in debutant Shaw, who joined the Hatters from Gateshead this summer, to tap home.

And Fleetwood completed the turnaround by firing home from close range.

We got out of a hole - Buckle

"That was two points lost.

"We came into the game after excellent form in pre-season, and with an excellent crowd behind us we were hoping for all three points.

"It didn't happen, we weren't at the races in the first half, we were nowhere the levels we've shown and (the levels) I expect and we paid the price.

"You've got to deliver crosses into the box to score goals and we were reluctant to do it, we wanted to score the perfect goal. In the second half it was a different story."
