Coleraine ponder move for former Derry star Ciaran Martyn
Coleraine boss Oran Kearney says that he will make a decision on signing former Glentoran midfielder Ciaran Martyn within the next two weeks.
Martyn, who also played for Derry City, featured in Saturday's friendly win over Institute.
"This is a chance for us to get a look at him and for him to get a look at us," said Kearney.
Meanwhile Martyn's former Derry City team-mate, defender Eddie McCallion, has signed for Glenavon.
McCallion signed a two-year deal after Saturday's friendly with Duleek AFC.
Kearney said Martyn had seen more of the game than was planned, due to an injury to Ryan McIlmoyle.
"Ciaran played nearly 70 minutes on Saturday, which was a bit sore on him. He's got a lot of work to do to get up to speed and it's only fair that we give him a chance to do that."
The midfielder, released by Glentoran at the end of last season, endured an injury-hit spell at the Oval, suffering a cruciate ligament injury in September 2010.
Martyn will be given another chance to impress in Coleraine's next friendly.
Meanwhile, Kearney hinted their transfer business may not be over for the summer.
"I'm happy with the squad we have as it stands, it's the same squad that did fantastically well last year. But we're always looking to improve and if a player crops up who can improve the team, we'll have a look at them."
Coleraine have signed local player Mark Gallen from Ballymoney United.
