Re 74. Funkymc1Speaking of clueless, Hughes didn't sign Joey Barton, nor did he make him captain. That was quite famously, one Neil Warnock. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good gripe though, will you. ;)
Dear funky,You have the same right to freedom of speech as the rest of us.Respect ...Hasta La Victoria Siempre !!!
73. Boggy MarshYou never said he showed great captaincy skills.......everyone here can go back to your previous comment and see what a clueless buffoon you are.....Man utd's prawn sandwich brigade were never really known for their knowledge of the game.
57. EnglebertHumpnerdinckLOL my dislike for Barton stems from him being a "Talentless Thug" that belongs in the lower leagues.......the Premiership got rid of another animal when Karl Henry helped get wolves relegated......QPR and Hughes went down in my estimation when they bought Barton as you only get 1 thing from him.....stupidity...check his passing stats for last season....complete joke.
Great skill at captaincy, diplomacy, being dignified, ... choosing his words carefully. If you want to just insult people, then go ahead, it matters not to me. I wouldn't even go to OT any more.FCUM - Punk Football - respected by everyone.Hasta La Victoria Siempre !!!
Comment number 65. Boggy MarshMy own view of Park & of some of the previous comments about him are similar to the same over Phil Neville. Gave great service, great commitment, showed great skill, contributed to our achievements and played like a fan of his club.So you never said Phil Neville "showed great skill"I just proved you a liar......enjoy the sandwich
It's hard to understand a lot of the comments asking who is going to replace him, when the main reason for his sale was the lack of games he was playing! And to answer other questions, United have plenty in the kitty for transfers. It's wages where they can no longer compete.Good luck to Park, he may no longer be our 'big game player' but QPR are still getting a quality, versatile midfielder.
I currently teach in South Korea. As a joke, I asked one of my students if he cried when he heard this news. He looked at me gravely and said 'yes'.
#63 Mark Hughes isn't following the Pardew approach at all. Pardew only signs younger players who will have a resale value. All of the players you have mentioned are older players with no resale value at all. They are all decent pros (maybe excepting Cisse) but I wouldn't say it is exactly the Pardew method you think it is.
Any team who has Park in their side will prosper. He is hard working, quiet likeable guy and has been a great team member at Old Trafford. Im sure all MUFC fans will want to thank him and wish him well in the future.
How come nobody has accused QPR of 'only signing Park to increase their profile in Asia'?One rule for the imbecilic pathological United-haters, another for the rest of us...
Ji is the pride and heart throb of football fans across Asia. When it comes to dedication and commitment, Ji is second to none.Wishing the young man success at his new club.Dr. Cajetan Coelho
To comment 52, funkymc1, from fcumunky1Dear funky,I didn't say what Phil's skill was, but his leadership at Everton shows it. Secondly, I don't make arrogant claims about my football knowledge and as a regular at FC United, I am as far from a prawn sandwich eater as you could get.'Making friends not millionaires' - FCUM.Hasta La Victoria Siempre !!!
BluesandShrews:I think Pardew/Hughes have a long way to go before they match the consistent shrewdness of Moyes over a longer period: Cahill £1.8, Arteta £2.2 (sold for £10m), Lescott £5.5m (sold to Hughes for £25m), McFadden 1.25 (sold for 6), Bent (cost 0.45, sold for 2.5), Howard, Neville, Pienaar, Baines, Jagielka, Saha (free), Coleman (£85K!), Gibson (£1m!), Jelavic (£5.5m!?!) etc.
Mark Hughes is one of the most astute managers of the current league, second only to Alan Pardew. He is slowly building a quality team with shrewd investments of young 'up-and-comings', foreign unknowns and older league players that still have a lot to give to the game. Cisse, Zamora, Wright-Philips, Ji-Sung to name a few. He is following the Pardew method to a T and it will prosper
59.nickburks Sorry for being an idiot, but the Republic of Korea is classfied as a partially unrecognised UN member state - by no means a country per se.Reunification will not happen because the N Korean government will only sanction a new 'Korea' that looks like their N Korea, politically, economically, sociologically, etc. South Koreans would obviously run a mile from that idea.
I'm no Man Utd fan so apologise it I am wrong. no cash available and are going to have to sell? the last 5 years UTD have spent around £190m and lostreal quality inc ronaldo, tevez, pique, rossi &replaced them with limited players. if u dont spend BIG again (u have already spent appx 20m you could go the way of Livepool and drop out not only championship contention but also cl qualification!!
