Scunthorpe 0-3 MK Dons

MK Dons moved closer to a play-off place as they eased to victory over 10-man Scunthorpe.

The hosts, who were unbeaten in their previous 10 matches, fell behind when Dons' leading scorer Dean Bowditch swept home Charlie McDonald's cross.

McDonald set up Daniel Powell in the box and Jordan Robertson was sent off for a foul on Gary Mackenzie after the fourth official's intervention.

Shaun Williams scored MK Dons' third with a long-range shot.

Knill expects better from the Iron

"I didn't think we started and we definitely didn't finish. It was our first loss in 11, but I'm expecting better than that.

"They're a really good team and you have to come into it with a strong squad to play against the best teams in the league and we were just short today.

"We've got some key players missing and they've been big for us and the reasons why we've been so many games unbeaten, and so when you lose them it has a big effect."
