Gateshead 1-0 Bath City
Jon Shaw's goal proved decisive as Blue Square Bet Premier play-off chasers Gateshead beat a poor Bath.
Micky Cummins had an effort cleared off the line and Liam Hatch headed over the rebound, while James Curtis was denied by Glyn Garner as the hosts dominated.
Garner then did well to deny Cummins and Hatch, as the Heed pushed on for the winning goal.
It eventually came when Shaw headed home Craig Baxter's cross for his eighth goal in the last 12 games.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Gateshead manager Ian Bogie told BBC Newcastle:
"It was a performance where we've dominated the play, it was like attack against defence.
"I thought Bath would have been more adventurous, knowing they needed to come here and get a result, but they were content to go away with a point.
"We had to be massively patient, and the only thing was concentration levels at the other end of the pitch, but ultimately we got the goal."
Bath City manager Adie Britton told BBC Radio Bristol:
"We knew that it would be a tough game up here - probably the most difficult we have left of the season.
"They had a lot of the ball in the first 20 minutes but we gradually came to terms with that and they didn't create that much.
"We've had a go and thrown everything at it but there were a few tired legs out there.
"One or two opportunities went begging which we should have done better with."
