Hartlepool 0-1 Oldham
Depleted Oldham Athletic ended their run of four consecutive defeats with a narrow victory over Hartlepool.
Without 11 players through injury and suspension, the Latics grabbed the winner when Jean Yves M'Voto deflected in Chris Taylor's free-kick.
Ryan Noble should have levelled the scores when one-on-one, only for keeper Alex Cisak to save at his feet.
Cisak then turned away Evan Horwood's free-kick, and Peter Hartley also had a header cleared off the line.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Hartlepool United first-team coach Neale Cooper tells BBC Tees:
"It wasn't to be our night, so we have to pick ourselves up for the trip to Yeovil.
"We have to do better in the box, there's some good crosses coming into the box.
"We were unfortunate not to score, I was quite angry in the changing room but, sitting here talking to the press, there are quite a few good things about tonight."
Oldham Athletic manager Paul Dickov told BBC Radio Manchester:
"I think it was comfortable because we defended very well, but we know with the ball we're better than that.
"The strange thing is the last four games when we've not won we've played a lot better football than we played.
"Recently when we've got the lead we've panicked a little bit, and that's probably because of the inexperience we've got in the team.
"He's (Reece Brown) had a bit of a tricky time the past couple of games but I thought him and Jean (Yves Mvoto) were excellent."
