Cardiff lost with dignity - Mackay

Cardiff manager Malky Mackay says he is very proud of his team following their loss on penalties to Liverpool in the Carling Cup final at Wembley.

The Bluebirds took the lead through Joe Mason early in the first half but an equaliser from Martin Skrtel took the game into extra time. Dirk Kuyt put Liverpool ahead but Ben Turner scored a dramatic late leveller to take the game to penalties.

Antony Gerrard, cousin of Liverpool's Steven, missed the crucial kick to hand the Premier League side victory.
