Ghana's Sulley Muntari has moved to AC Milan on loan from city rivals Inter.
Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri believes this is the move Muntari needs to kick-start his career.
"This is an important chance for him having not done well at Inter," said Allegri. "He's a good player, so far he's not fulfilled his technical and physical qualities."
Elsewhere, Nigeria's Kalu Uche has rejoined Spanish club Espanyol from Swiss side Neuchatel Xamax.
Neuchatel Xamax filed for bankruptcy last week and Uche has signed on a one-and-a-half year deal.
Fiorentina have signed Didier Drogba's Danish-born cousin Kenneth Zohore from FC Copenhagen.
Another Nigerian on the move is Osanga King who has sealed a one-and-a-half year deal with struggling French top flight side Sochaux.
Fellow Nigeria striker Imoh Ezekiel, 18, has joined Belgian top side Standard Liege on loan from Nigerian second division club 36 Lions FC.
Elsewhere, Senegal's Ibrahim Faye, 19, has joined Portuguese club Marítimo from Lamego. He is the son of Boavista's Faye Fary, who at 37 has scored five goals already in Portugal's second division and was part of Senegal's 2000 African Cup of Nations side.
The Ivorian midfielder Kanga Akale has extended his six-month stay with Greek side Panetolikos until he end of the season. No financial details were disclosed by the Greek Super League club.
