Everton forward Landon Donovan says he has been impressed with the attitude of on-loan striker Denis Stracqualursi.
Stracualursi scored his first goal for Everton in the Blues' 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win over Fulham on Friday, in only his third start for the club.
Donovan told BBC Radio Merseyside: "He's a really nice kid, the guys like being around him and he works hard."
He added: "If you do those things people are going to pull for you and we're all very happy for him. It was a really important goal for us and for him.
"It's easier for me coming in from America, I can speak the language and I've been here before. But for Denis, it's completely foreign."
Donovan has started six times for Everton since returning on a two-month loan deal from LA Galaxy earlier this month.
The United States international is set to line up against Premier League title hopefuls Manchester City on Tuesday.
And with Roberto Mancini's men still in the Europa League but out of both domestic cup competitions, Donovan is in no doubt where City's priorities lie.
"They're a very good team and now their goal is pretty clear," he continued. "They have one thing to play for and that's to win the Premier League title.
"It's going to be a great game and it's going to take everything we have to get a result, no question about it."
