Oldham have signed Robbie Simpson and Keanu Marsh-Brown on contracts until the end of the season.

Simpson, 26, intially joined the Latics on a three-month loan deal in September from Huddersfield.

He remained training with the club and rejoined them on loan this month before sealing his free transfer switch.

Winger Marsh-Brown, 19, was released by Fulham in November and has earnt a deal after spending the past two weeks on trial at Boundary Park.

Simpson began his career in the youth academy at Norwich, but after failing to earn a deal played for Cambridge City, Cambridge Utd and Coventry.

He moved to Huddersfield for a reported £300,000 fee, but made just five starts for the Terriers and spent last season on loan at Brentford.

Former England Under-19 player Marsh-Brown, had a stint on-loan at Dundee United earlier in the season, and played 19 games for MK Dons last year, scoring twice.

Manager Paul Dickov told the Latics websiteexternal-link: "Keanu is talented and, without any shadow of a doubt, has great ability.

"He has had a couple of setbacks in his career and we need to get him back playing to how we know he can.

"I regard the signing as a bit of a coup for us while it also offers Keanu the chance to get his career back on track."
