Hearts goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Edinburgh club until summer 2014.
The 25-year-old's contract was set to expire at the end of the season but he has agreed a new two-year deal.
In October, Hearts manager Paulo Sergio assured MacDonald that he would get another opportunity to prove his goalkeeping talents in the team.
MacDonald has made seven appearances this season and will face competition from Marian Kello for a start.
MacDonald signed pro forms with Hearts in 2003 and, in his early days with the club, vied for a starting place with Antti Niemi, Roddy Mackenzie then Craig Gordon.
