Colchester United striker Steven Gillespie says he is pleased to be back in the U's first team.
Gillespie, 26, has played in each of the U's last four matches and scored in the last two, including a goal in Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Chesterfield.
The former Cheltenham man told BBC Essex: "I was pleased to get on the scoresheet again, I want to be playing on a regular basis."
"That was my fourth (game) on the trot, it's pleasing on a personal level."
Gillespie has featured regularly as a substitute this season, but has made just six starts.
He admits the U's are not achieving their aspirations this season.
"I've got to do well in the team, it's not about me. We want to be fighting to get towards them play-offs and we're a little bit off it at the moment," he added.
"That's the most disappointing thing. I can't achieve anything on my own, we need to work together."
The defeat by the struggling Spireites left Colchester 15th in the League One table.
