Torquay United manager Martin Ling has praised centre-half Mark Ellis after he scored for the second consecutive game.
Ellis, 23, got the opener as the Gulls won 2-1 at Morecambe to add to his goal at .
Ellis has been an ever-present in the side since October and his run has coincided with the club's rise into the League Two play-off places.
"It's nice for Mark to get on the scoresheet as he's had some chances this year," Ling told BBC Radio Devon.
"It was another crucial goal for him, another goal for Danny Stevens and at the moment we look a threat from all set plays.
"Every time we looked to go forward we looked like we were going to get chances."
The Gulls have lost just one of their last 13 league games and are the in-form side in League Two having moved up to sixth in the table.
"The character in the dressing room is really solid and there's a lot of belief in there.
"We're on a hell of a run at the moment and confidence is high," he added.
