Former Stockport captain Paul Turnbull has rejoined the club on a month-long loan deal from Northampton.

The midfielder arrives back at Edgeley Park on his 23rd birthday, having left to join the Cobblers at the end of last season following County's relegation.

Turnbull rejected a new contract with County before the move, saying he wanted to play in the Football League.

He had been with Stockport since the age of 11 and after his debut in 2005, went on to make 152 appearances.
