Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has appointed former Doncaster Rovers and Bournemouth boss Sean O'Driscoll as first-team coach.
O'Driscoll, who was sacked by Doncaster in September, is Cotterill's first appointment to the coaching staff since he took over in October.
The pair played together at Bournemouth and O'Driscoll, 54, has initially joined until the end of the season.
Cotterill said: "I'm delighted. Sean and I go back a long way."
O'Driscoll had been helping out at Plymouth Argyle, but only in an advisory role.
Cotterill added: "He's available after leaving Doncaster in September, so compensation isn't an issue, and I've no doubts he will be a great addition to my backroom team."
