Crewe could sign another midfielder on loan as cover for the injured Lee Bell, who requires a hernia operation and will be out of action for a month.
"Lee being injured leaves us one short in midfield," assistant manager Neil Baker told BBC Radio Stoke.
"If we lost another, we'd be down to (teenager) Ollie Turton, although we'd be quite happy to put him in the team with how he's done for the reserves."
Jamie Lowry and are already on loan at Gresty Road.
Chesterfield midfielder Lowry has played eight times since joining the Alex in November, while Pearson scored on his debut at Oxford on Saturday, hours after completing his loan move from League Two rivals Burton.
Bell, 28, has been a regular in Crewe's first team this season, starting 24 of their 31 matches in all competitions.
The Alex could also be in the market for a left-back during the January transfer window.
"If the right player became available, I'm pretty sure we would take them," added Baker.
