Kilmarnock 1-1 Dundee United
Paul Dixon fired a late goal as Dundee United snatched a point at Rugby Park against Kilmarnock.
United's Gavin Gunning had a header saved onto the bar and team-mate Stuart Armstrong struck the post during the first half.
But it was Killie who broke the deadlock through James Dayton's marvellous strike from distance.
United pressed for parity and were rewarded when Dixon beat Cammy Bell from the edge of the box.
The two sides remain separated by a point in the Scottish Premier League, with Killie sixth and United seventh.
Kilmarnock goalkeeper Bell made an early save to deny John Rankin before the goalkeeper touched Gavin Gunning's header onto the top of the crossbar.
At the other end, the home fans appealed in vain for a penalty following Paul Dixon's challenge on Dayton and, when the ball ran loose, Dean Shiels' powerful shot clipped the top of the bar.
United hit the woodwork again through Stuart Armstrong, the midfielder's shot striking the post.
Jon Daly missed the target with a shot from point-blank range after being found by Johnny Russell.
Bell denied Armstrong as United continued to press and Daly fired wide again before half-time.
Having been second-best for most of the first half, Killie changed the course of the match just after the break with Dayton's stunning strike.
The midfielder cut inside and blasted a shot into the top left-hand corner from around 25 yards.
United were rocked by falling behind and there was less fluency in their play and efforts from Russell and Gunning went wide of Bell's goal.
Striker Lauri Dalla Valle replaced midfielder Ranking as the visitors looked to unlock the Kilmarnock defence.
The Ayrshire side were holding firm and could have made more of their possession in counter-attacking situations.
Gary Mackay-Steven's through ball gave Daly a run at goal, but the striker's touch was poor as Bell claimed the ball off his line.
However, Bell was finally beaten in injury time when Dixon cut in from the left, beat Manuel Pascali and unleashed a left-foot effort into the net.
