Alan Trouten scored twice as Ayr United booked their place in the Scottish Cup fourth round with a replay win over Montrose.
The Division One outfit proved too strong for their Third Division opponents, with midfielder Trouten notching in either half to set up a visit to Livingston.
Trouten fired the visitors ahead in the 28th minute, turning home Michael McGowan's pass from 12 yards, before doubling the visitors' advantage with a wonderful strike from the edge of the penalty area with 18 minutes remaining.
Jamie Winter's late 20-yard strike set up a tense finish but Brian Reid's side held on.
