Burnley manager Eddie Howe believes striker Jay Rodriguez will rediscover his goal-scoring form.
The 22-year-old has scored eight times this season but has now gone six games without a goal.
"People forget he's a young player just like Charlie Austin and with young players you do sometimes get those inconsistencies," Howe told BBC Radio Lancashire.
Rodriguez was the subject of a £4.5m bid from Southampton in August.
Howe added: "You can't fault Jay's effort. He works extremely hard week in and week out and it's only a young strike partnership.
"But we back Jay 100% and we know he'll come good for us."
